Brief Description of Research:

Dr. Kulkarni is very active in ongoing clinical trials at Windsor Regional Hospital. She is the Head of clinical trials at the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre as she hopes to make a large impact in progressing cancer treatments. Most of her funded research focuses on lung cancer, ER positive advanced breast cancer and glioblastoma multiforme, an aggressive type of brain cancer. She is currently the local primary investigator of a trial investigating the effectiveness of particular treatments against advanced non-small cell lung cancer and holds a Seeds4Hope Grant characterizing the response of GBM to various novel treatments. Dr. Kulkarni has been an author on various provincial guideline documents and is actively involved in educating the next generation of doctors and researchers.
